Hi,
Working on this example first I have setup a Timer and set the delay to 5 seconds and the repeat property to 1. When those 5 seconds are gone I instruct the movie to go to the next frame.
Here is the code that I have added to the existing one:

i don't know if you're still looking at this but how would you stop these particles from showing in other frames then the one you initially put it in. example: Lets say you put it in a mc in frame one but when the swf goes to frame 2 the particles from frame 1 are still showing up. Thanks!

I’m trying to leave in the back the AS 2.0 code (I even have refused a job that required AS 2) so sorry but I will not post the AS 2 code for this effect. I say that is a wise choice to start playing with AS 3.0, it’s more powerful and cleaner and you can take advantage of Flex and AIR (other tools from Adobe that use AS 3.0).
